Repercussions of the KVG on Insurers

Insurers have yet not fulfilled relevant expectations of the KVG: > There is more competition between insurers, with a focus on clients who represent a good risk für them. The intensity of competition as such has not increased over the past years, and continues to be rather moderate. > Until now, insurers have hardly influenced the costs of service providers. Savings focus in billing control, whereas alternative insurance models hardly make themselves felt. The results of the study were published by the BSV in "Forschungsbericht 6/01" and can be ordered at EDMZ (Nr. 318.010.6/01d).
