Abstract | The Swiss Federation, due to a Federal decree, participated with 39 Million CHF in the European Common Initiative Interreg III, for transnational and interregional collaboration for the period 2000-2006. With this committment the Swiss Federation would like to make a contribution to strengthen the competitiveness of the regions and the optimal coordination of spatial policy. The primary target of this mid-term evaluation done in 2003 is to show the improvement on the Swiss side of the second half of the programme of Interreg III. The evaluation assessed the financial perspectives, execution structures and their implication in Switzerland as well as the first impacts of this programme. | |
