Fabio Leippert Msc in Biology 1979
1999–2004 studied biology at the University of Bern, made his Master in Biology and majored in Zoology. Interdisciplinary Master thesis in conservation biology and population genetics on the model species Hoopoe – (“Does availability of an unlimiting offer of breeding sites induce detrimental density-dependent effects on the population biology of an endangered, recovering U.epops population”). One year internship at the Federal Veterinary Office (FVO), Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Afterwards he worked for two years at the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), in the Air Pollution Control and NIR department. Working on the emission inventory Switzerland (EMIS), greenhouse gas inventory Switzerland, UNECE submission, legislation and implementation, in particular agriculture and wood firings. Since 2009 research assistant at INFRAS in the fields of environment, climate and energy. Key activities are greenhouse gas inventory, agriculture, modelling of air pollution emissions and landscape.
