Thomas von Stokar Dipl. Economic Geographer Managing Partner 1963
Social and economic geography at the University of Zurich with specialisation in economics 1984-1992. Master's Degree with thesis on the consequences of new information and communications technologies for the economy and the regions. 1989-1991 conducted special studies on trends and consequences of telecommunications in the framework of ETH [Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich] scientific research contributions to the Communications - Model Communities Project. After four years of freelance collaboration Thomas von Stokar joined INFRAS in 1992; project manager 1994; senior project manager 1998; and member of INFRAS management 1999. Thomas von Stokar's work focuses on telecommunications and new media, regulatory and competition policy, strategy development, impacts of technologies, regional planning policy, and sustainable development.
