1979-1985 Master's Degree in economics at the University of Zurich. 1985-1987 teaching/research assistant at the Socioeconomic Institute of the University of Zurich, with specialisation in agricultural economics and policy. 1988/89 economics associate at Swiss Center for Mountain Regions (SAB) in Brugg. 1990-1994 officer at a trading company in Zurich, in charge of planning, bookkeeping, and controlling. Ueli Maag joined INFRAS in 1994 in charge of internal accounting and as a specialist in the areas of organization planning and controlling. Since 1999 senior project manager of internal administration as well as project manager in the area of development and evaluation of organisation strategies for public and private institutions.
