Markus Maibach was a member of the INFRAS Executive Management team for many years. He is a specialist in transport economics and transport policy, as well as pricing and the evaluation of transport projects and sustainability strategies. He acts as a moderator and coach in connection with implementation processes for transport policies in Switzerland and the EU. He also lectures in transport economics at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Markus studied economics and economic geography at the University of Zurich. Subsequently, he worked as a research assistant at the Socioeconomic Institute of the University of Zurich. Before joining INFRAS, he drew up expert opinions on transport economics for projects in Burma and Nepal. Markus holds a diploma in Organisational Consulting and Coaching.
