Damaris Bertschmann focuses primarily on the subject areas aviation, economic impact analysis, transport economics and policy as well as climate and energy policy.

In 2007 she finished her studies in Economics and Political Science with specialisation in Environmental Economics at the University of Berne (CH). Afterwards she worked as a research associate at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), with the key activities emission trading systems and renewable energy. Before she started at INFRAS, she worked in asset and liability management at a consulting firm for pension funds.
