New Climate Change Mitigation Markets after Doha

This new INFRAS paper for the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment and the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment provides an overview on the status of the regulatory environment for new market mechanisms for climate change mitigation that are currently under discussion in the UNFCCC, including the framework for various approaches (FVA) and the new market mechanism (NMM). The paper summarizes the main issues that were discussed at COP 18 in Doha and sets the context for the issues most relevant for baseline/additionality determination in the design of these new instruments.
