20 years of sustainable development in Europe?

July 3, 2012

Figures for the future is a guide to the EU sustainable development indicators. It communicates statistical figures as seen through the eyes of fictional 17-year-old student Anne. Anne has the task of informing fellow students about whether Europe has moved towards sustainable development over the past 20 years. She illustrates statistics by linking the topics to an important day in her life. This publication was released to mark the 20th anniversary of the original Earth Summit. This Eurostat publication was written and produced by a consortium consisting of WU Vienna, Haymarket Media Group, Ecologic Institute and INFRAS. INFRAS contributed as expert advisor for the topics sustainable transport and social inclusion.Link to the Eurostat publication.
