Consistent implementation of the polluter-pays-principle

This study shows the present implementation status of the polluter-pays-principle (PPP) in Swiss environmental policy. It formulates measures for the increased use of the PPP. Practically all environmental sectors still have gaps in coverage, in particular climate protection. It is proposed to strive for increased implementation by means of using globally regulating tools.
