The study analyses measures implemented in the Scandinavian countries, Netherlands, and Belgium that are targeted to offset potential negative effects on international competitiveness due to the introduction of energy and/or CO2 taxes. The study comes up with impressive evidence regarding the practical feasibility of such offsetting measures.
