Internet and its Effects on the Media Sector

This research project focuses on the impact of the Internet on the Swiss media sector, and on electronic media in particular. The main issues are: How does media production change through the Internet? Will media use change? Will there be a shift in the function of the traditional media? What impact will the convergence of content providers and distributors have? The final report was made available in April 1999.
