Liechtenstein as a member state to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and member state to the Kyoto protocol, has committed to the annual delivery of its inventory of the greenhouse gas emissions to the UNFCCC Secretariat. In addition to this data, the submission includes the «National Inventory Report» that describes in detail results and methods of the inventory according to the UNFCCC specifications. The report, written according to standards of the UNFCC, is testimony that the inventory was generated in accordance with the «Good Practice Guidance» by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). INFRAS is lead author and, amongst others, calculates the uncertainty of Liechtenstein's Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
