NAMEA Greenhouse Gases

For the first time in Switzerland, emissions from the Swiss Greenhouse Gas Inventory were itemized according to eco-industrial sectors with the help of the «National Accounting Matrix including Environmental Accounts» (NAMEA). NAMEA is a statistical tool linking environmental data with data of the national accounts according to industrial sectors. The concept of NAMEA was developed by EUROSTAT, several countries already have a NAMEA. The consortium INFRAS/EBP was mandated by the Swiss Federal Office of Statistics (SFOS) to develop the Swiss NAMEA.
