Principles for the fixing of fees for the use of the electricity grid

March 1, 2002
The Federation, in accordance with the electricity market law, can constitute principles in the ordinance for the fees for the use of power lines. The consortium INFRAS/econcept/cepe has developed proposals for these principles on behalf of the Federal Office of Energy (SFOE). Therefore the 1. respective objectives and requirements of the principles were formulated, 2. theoretical basics and foreign experiences were presented, 3. possibilities of solutions were shown and compared with the existing proposals of the Verband Schweizerischer Elektrizitätsunternehmen (VSE) (Association of Swiss Power Companies), 4. recommendations for the definition of the structures for the electricity grid depending on the goals were given. The SFOE and the research programme «Principles of energy economy (EWG)» will host a symposium for the liberalisation of the electricity market. At this symposium the study «Principles for the fixing of fees for the electricity grid» as well as results of additional studies regarding the implementation of the electricity market law and the electricity market ordinance will be presented.
