Update of the economic impact of Swiss aviation

1.8% of the GDP (9.7 billion CHF) and about 52,000 fulltime jobs are closely connected to aviation activities. A comparison of the results of 2004 and of today shows a growing value added and productivity which is above average in Swiss economy. Aviation generates for many regions positive effects via production and especially via utilisation. Aviation is also connected with uncovered external costs. At present, these are being looked at more closely in the scope of another analysis regarding costs of transport in aviation.
