Research Associate

Silas Schweizer works in the field of transport and the environment. He specialises in emissions modelling, carbon accounting, spatial analyses and statistical evaluations.

He studied Environmental Sciences at ETH Zurich with a focus on environmental systems and policy analysis. During his studies, he gained professional experience as a sustainability analyst at ETH Juniors and as a trainee in sustainability management at Endress+Hauser.
In this role, he learned the basics of carbon accounting and created a roadmap for decarbonisation in scope 1+2. In his master’s thesis, he developed a spatial optimisation algorithm designed to optimise the accessibility of recycling collection points in Zurich.
