INFRAS was commissioned by the city of Arbon to develop an energy concept. The concept illustrates suitable strategic stages and options for the city of Arbon in direction of a future-oriented 2000-Watt-Society. It encompasses an analysis of today's energy consumption and of the CO2-emissions as well as possible trend and target scenarios. In addition, reduction potentials, possible actions of the city and the actions necessary for the implementation as well as their energetic, ecologic and economic impacts were proposed.
