Globalisation, technological progress and structural change in Switzerland
May 22, 2002
It is assumed that businesses and trading fields that are integrated into a global innovation and know-how network can benefit the most from this ongoing structural change. Taking new technology fields such as ICT, bio- and nanotechnology as examples, the study analyses the key factors in the success of an enterprise and show regulatory framework conditions that lead to successful implementation of structural change. The study was published in summer 2002 in the «Strukturberichterstattung» series from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs. It can be downloaded here in two parts (without the annex) or ordered at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Tel. 031 324 08 60).
