Mid-term evaluation of SDC's Programme on Climate Change Adaptation in Peru

Sept. 22, 2011
The Climate Change Adaptation Programme PACC Peru ist the first programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in this thematic field in Latin America. The overall objective of the programme is to reduce the vulnerability of poor people in the Andine region. The programme is highly complex in terms of its institutional and thematic set up. Interventions cover the national, regional as well as the local level and include political, practical and scientific measures. After only two years of implementation, the overall results are very positive. The programme has been able to actively contribute to relevant political processes and to integrate climate change adaptation as a transversal issue in several sectoral policies in Peru.INFRAS has in cooperation with a Peruvian consultant conducted the mid-term evaluation of this programme.
