Matthias Lebküchner headed the Transport Planning division in Zurich for many years. At the start of 2026, he handed over the division’s management to Oliver Frei. He continues to act as an expert for INFRAS. He primarily focuses on service offers and operation plannings in public transport, efficiency analyses, traffic forecasting and pricing policy. His core activities also include organisation and strategy consultancy for transport companies as well as organisational issues and public transport tendering.

He finished his studies in Civil Engineering at the ETH Zurich with his diploma, specialising in both Planning/Transportation and Construction.
