Pilot region Surselva

The study made by INFRAS for the Energy policy fundamentals research programme of the Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) shows the different strategies and measures that will help the IHG Surselva mountain region to achieve a pilot function with regard to energy policy. Measures for the rational-ised use of energy and the extended use of renewable energies are illustrated. The implementation of the proposed measures will permit the Surselva region to reach its targets with regard to sustain-ability in the concept of the 2000-Watt-society until the year 2050. Focus points for the implemen-tation are a regional energy tax and a broad integration of regional and cantonal actors. The study was made in cooperation with Edy Toscano AG, Aurax energia AG and Schneider & Cathomas and Partner.
