Impact Analysis Regarding Climate Change Adaptation

Aug. 31, 2014
In 2014, the Swiss Federal Council adopted its climate change adaptation action plan 2014-2019. In order to review the achievement of the objectives, the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN is developing a system for measuring the impacts of climate change adaptation. Important elements for the impact analysis are indicators.INFRAS developed a set of indicators, which help to evaluate the impacts of the climate change adaptation measures implemented by the Federal Council. In a participatory process with experts from science and administration, impact models and indicators for all the sectors of the adaptation strategy were developed. The indicators are now being used and further developed by the Federal Offices involved in climate change adaptation.
