Stricter emission limits have led, amongst other things, to a sharp drop in air pollutant emissions in Switzerland in recent years. The current report on the inventory of air pollutant emissions explains this development - and describes how emissions were calculated.

In 2017, Liechtenstein's greenhouse gas emissions were 15 percent lower than in 1990. That is the conclusion of the current National Inventory Report, which Liechtenstein must produce annually as a member of the UN Climate Convention.

As a member of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Switzerland must report its greenhouse gas emission levels on an annual basis. The latest report shows that, in 2017, they were more than 11 percent lower than in 1990.
